Yolanda Green Barnes is a dynamic leader, strategist, and storyteller whose career has been devoted to helping people, organizations, and communities activate their greatest potential. She is an Emmy-nominated television personality, an award-winning corporate executive, and the founder of The Ashayé Group. What connects every chapter of her career is a single, unwavering conviction: that the right development, delivered at the right time, changes what people believe is possible for themselves.
Her career began in broadcast media, where she hosted Outlook Houston and created Going Green with Yolanda Green, weekly programs that informed and inspired viewers across the region. During her tenure at Houston's CW39, she led an adoption awareness campaign that helped more than 5,500 foster children find permanent, loving homes. It was early proof of a principle that would define everything that came after: that purposeful communication, combined with genuine commitment to people, creates transformation at scale.
That commitment carried her into a distinguished corporate career at Comcast, where she served as Director, Strategic Workforce and Culture Enablement for the West Division and Senior Director of Business Engagement for Comcast ULearn. In those roles she partnered with senior leadership to strengthen organizational culture and drive performance across the division, designed enterprise-wide leadership development programs, and became a trusted advisor and visionary leader throughout the organization. Her work earned multiple honors, including the Women in Cable Telecommunications Shining Star Award and the Texas Executive Women Woman on the Move Award.
Yolanda holds a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Sam Houston State University, where she has been honored with both the Distinguished Alumni Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and The Links, Incorporated. She resides in Denver, Colorado, with her husband.
